Double Nickels

Tomorrow is my actual birthday. Hard to believe I will be 55.

Not much new here. We had a fantastic Memorial Day weekend up north with my two sad blisters and their spouses. Matt and Elaine were there with the boys. Both Jacob and Eli have grown a lot since we saw them at Christmas. It was fun hanging out with them and their bad parents. :)
We went to the Petosky Stone festival on Saturday. The locals seed the beach with Stones and the kids hunt them down. Lots of stone and rock oriented crafts were available for purchase.

Matt must have said something Elaine didn't like. As he often does.

Jacob spent the rest of the day with us at our cottage on Saturday. He and TJ helped Lizzard clean up the yard. He was also Jana's gardener assistant, helping her to plant flowers.

There were a lot of bugs (midges according to Dr. Spencer) in the air all weekend so that kept us from truly enjoying the wonderful weather.

We had a great BBQ on Sunday. Chef Lizzard made the tastiest ribs ever.
Eli enjoyed his first corn on the cob.

On Sunday night I broke the garage door, so we knew it was time to go home.

It was a nice long weekend and we are leaving tomorrow to go back up north. Anyone that would like to joins us is welcome. We are anxious to share the cottage with our family. The horseshoe pits are in. No boat yet, but we looked at a few over the weekend and Lizzard has a line on one in Rockford. Maybe before July.

I hope you enjoy the pictures.
